Summary, etc. For more than thirty years, suicide has been the second cause of death among fifteen- to twenty-four-year-olds and the fifth cause of death among those aged under thirteen. In 2016, twenty-six deaths by suicide were recorded among those aged under fifteen and 352 among those aged fifteen to twenty-four, i.e., respective rates of 0.3 and 4.5 per 100,000 inhabitants [1]. In our first article, we looked at the different types of interventions available to prevent the risk of suicide among adolescents and the effectiveness of collective prevention approaches. In this second article, we address the identification and treatment of suicide in primary care.
