520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. In the face of international competition, the exportation of agriculture from Vanuatu is in rapid decline. While the maintaining of classic commodities (copra, cocoa) is engaging experts, local products are receiving little attention and the local market is being neglected. At the same time, food imports are growing. The country could, however, take advantage of “specific resources”, notably, local and regional markets. The case of kava and root crops are developed to illustrate this assertion.
