520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Why are transboundary water issues between China and India seen as leading to conflicts in the future, rather than as avenues of cooperation for mutual development? These avenues could have potential spillover effects on territoriality issues and the overall geopolitics of the region, as well as on Sino-Indian bilateral relations. Leaving aside the invidious question of conflict between China and India, this study will set out a case for cooperation and emphasize the benefits of cooperating on transboundary water management. The paper is primarily an analysis of the existing literature on the specific case study, and an attempt to underpin the various conditions of conflict and cooperative behavior between China and India on their shared transboundary rivers and waters.
