Summary, etc. Cet article étudie l’impact des transferts des migrants sur la croissance économique dans un panel de 30 pays Africains. L’étude s’intéresse au rôle de la qualité financière et institutionnelle. Exploitant le GMM-système, les résultats montrent une complémentarité entre le développent financier et les transferts des migrants afin d’entrainer la croissance économique. Les transferts sont plus efficaces si la qualité institutionnelle et les services publics sont convenables.

Summary, etc. This study investigates the effect of remittances on economic growth in a panel of thirty African countries. It looks at how the financial and institutional context influences a country’s capacity to benefit from remittances. Using the GMM system, results show that the relationship between financial development and remittances is a positive one for conducting economic growth. Remittances are more effective in countries that have a good governance system and are capable of providing suitable public services. JEL Classification: C23, G20, K, O43
