520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This article relates the thought, the construction, and the repercussions on professional practice of a training program undertaken by the Léon Askénazi Institute for 8 personal care assistants working at the retirement homes department of the Rothschild Foundation with 132 Holocaust survivors. The authors, the director of the Institute, and the professional responsible for training describe how, on the basis of a method related to different life experiences and interactive and reflective teaching skills, these non-Jewish personal care assistants were able to acquire knowledge and know-how about Judaism and tools to understand the Holocaust trauma and transfer them in their professional practice with these survivors. Such an achievement enabled the Léon Askénazi Institute to model this program, to reproduce it, and to adapt it for home helpers.
