520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. What happens to the hermeneutical process of the appropriation of the meaning of the Scriptures in the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola? A literal analysis of the Exercises reveals the importance of the place of the “I” in the language of the Exercises. Appropriation can then be understood as the capacity for the “I” of the exerciser to engage in a personal, singular response to the word that God addresses to him and that he receives through the mediation of the Spiritual Exercises. This is a hermeneutical posture whose ecclesial significance should be highlighted.
