| Summary, etc. | This lecture, given to the General Chapter of the Benedictine Congregation of Solesmes in April 2023, presents the synodal path as a spiritual experience. The author, himself a Cistercian and young bishop of Trondheim in Norway, offers a lectio divina in which he examines the “synodal narratives” of the Bible and its monastic tradition to discern the conditions in which the Synod on synodality will be a path to holiness. |
