Summary, etc. | This article proposes to analyze the theme of aesthetic experience according to the aesthetic theory of Theodor W. Adorno. Indeed, the German philosopher reserves a crucial place for aesthetic experience, in order to go against any abstract, idealist, and universalizing philosophical discourse on art. By comparing the aesthetics of John Dewey and Theodor W. Adorno, this article intends to clarify the criteria and the content of a successful aesthetic experience, as well as the conditions of emancipation through art. |
