Summary, etc. ‪Decision support systems are becoming more and more widespread in an increasing number of fields. To what extent could decisions calculated by algorithms replace human judgement? According to the author, taking into account the context is what characterizes human decisions; however, by definition, an algorithm ignores the context. Far from opposing computed decision and human judgement so that the former exceeds and advantageously replaces the latter, the author uses the notion of “existential situation” and develops the argument of the necessary contextualization of the decision in judgement. This contextualization can only be done by instances sensitive to the context, namely human beings. One of the most important issues is to understand the simulations that underlie the calculated decisions.‪
