Summary, etc. The authors, a psychoanalyst and a systemic family therapist, have observed in their practice that vulnerable subjects often do not ask for psychotherapy. What is more, vulnerable patients may either avoid meeting clinical professionals or give up psychological treatment in a usual therapeutic setting. The authors suggest modifications of borders, of frameworks, of facilities, and of intervention methods in order to encourage clinical sessions and to allow patients to engage in and continue with psychological care. Based on their clinical experiences in patients’ homes, the authors question the standard methods of approaching clients, especially children and adolescents and their families. They examine how changes of frameworks and border conditions modify representations of the family’s intimacy. The authors place the notion of the patient’s intimacy, his/her place in life, and his/her ties to his/her environment at the center of the therapeutic project. At the same time, they make connections between their two epistemological approaches in order to propose psychological care at home for vulnerable patients.
