520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This article aims at describing Animal Studies in a perspective of history of knowledge and sociology of sciences. The evolution of Animal Studies domain is depicted as well as the community which takes part in it. This description is placed within the broader context of the recent evolutions of human-animals relations (the rise of zoocentrism). Through three editorial sites, Anthrozoös, Society and Animals, and the Journal of Critical Animal Studies, we will describe how Animal Studies try to constitute as Studies. We will describe this process of “becoming studies”, which results in the progressive and joint assertion, by the Animal Studies community, of the necessity of a zoocentric perspective and the necessity to line up knowledge production on pro-animals normative ambitions.
