Summary, etc. The telethon proposes in a recurring way some short sequences in duplex staging the demonstrations of what the organizers call “the force T” which, on the whole territory, organizes local mobilizations. One of the central elements of these mobilizations is that they are accompanied by an intense sharing of emotions, in the forefront of which appears enthusiasm. By formalizing this passion through philosophies, in particular the 17th century English one, it is possible to see a number of phenomena on which the traditional analysis of the mobilizations remains blind. One is thus led to carry the glance on the sociability which is woven in the course of the mobilization, not so much like a pre-condition, but as the very bottom on which a collective emotion is displayed. One understands also that this coordination getting through the sharing of an emotion remains very largely external with the cause which is the reason of the mobilization. The value which is concerned here is not initially that of “solidarity” (with the patients), but that of the association of all (sick people, people in good health, researchers, “quidams,” journalists, organizers, etc.), or, to say it better: that of the very sociability.
