Summary, etc. | The article analyzes the five values at stake in the light of the model developed in the book On values. A Sociological Approach. Refusing to state about values “in themselves,” in order to focus on an empirical analysis of what they are as mental representations shared by the actors, this model allows a resolutely non-prescriptive approach, avoiding both the constructivist or relativistic delegitimization of values and their metaphysical or realistic legitimation. The “portrait” of these values opens the way to a pragmatic analysis of the actual relationship to values, likely to highlight their “conditions of happiness.” |
