Summary, etc. | "In this article we analyze the Help to Latin American Church Episcopal Network (1950-1985) through the gift theory. In the fifties and the sixties, a new missionary movement appeared with Pius XII’s Fidei donum encyclical of 1957 (the gift of faith). The classical missionary framework of the missionary congregations broadened opening the way for the bishop’s cooperation. We explore the “gift of faith” from different viewpoints: the Holy Seat point of view when it promulgates this encyclical; the European and North American bishops and priests point of view of who leave to “give the faith” in Latin American; at least the Latin American Church point of view which hosts these priests." |
