| Summary, etc. | The aging of the population in France will inevitably have consequences on its future society and in particular on the consideration of older people and their place in its current social model.Residential homes for dependent elderly people (EHPAD), equivalent to nursing homes, were established to meet a real need for long-term care and services for the elderly. However, these residences have their limitations in terms of the involvement of caregivers. Based on three cases of intervention, we consider that the current deficient situation is very often due to a failure on the part of the management to meet not only budgetary but also social needs and we propose scenarios for progress. |
