Summary, etc. | Cet article présente une étude qui vise à identifier les éléments clés d’une éducation réussie des enfants au tourisme durable, à travers leur participation à des mini-clubs dans des centres de vacances. Les mini-clubs semblent être un outil utile et stratégique pour éduquer les jeunes aux questions de développement durable. Les résultats de l’étude montrent que les clubs pour enfants (1) ont réellement le potentiel de transmettre la sensibilisation au développement durable dans le tourisme et (2) sensibilisent au développement durable par des discussions plutôt que par des activités. La principale contribution de cet article est de conceptualiser le rôle des animateurs de clubs pour enfants (qui comprennent les conseillers, les animateurs, les organisateurs d’activités et les dirigeants) en tant qu’éducateurs au développement durable. Ces animateurs pourraient contribuer à la réalisation à long terme des objectifs de développement durable en sensibilisant la jeune génération à ces principes. |

Summary, etc. | This article describes a study that aims to identify the key elements of successfully educating children about tourism sustainability, through their participation in mini-clubs in holiday resorts. Mini-clubs appear to be a useful and strategic vehicle to educate young people about sustainability issues. The results of the study show that kids’ clubs (1) actually have the potential to transmit awareness about sustainability in tourism and (2) raise awareness about sustainability through discussions rather than activities. The main contribution of this article is to conceptualize the role of kids’ facilitators (which includes counsellors, animators, activity organisers and leaders) as sustainability educators. These facilitators could help contribute to the long-term achievement of sustainable development goals by educating a younger generation about those principles. |

Summary, etc. | Este artículo presenta un estudio cuyo objetivo es identificar los elementos clave del éxito de la educación de los niños en el turismo sostenible, a través de su participación en miniclubes en centros de vacaciones. Los miniclubes parecen ser una herramienta útil y estratégica para educar a los jóvenes en temas de sostenibilidad. Los resultados del estudio muestran que los clubes de niños (1) sí tienen el potencial de transmitir la conciencia de sostenibilidad en el turismo y (2) de concienciar sobre la sostenibilidad a través de debates más que de actividades. La principal contribución de este trabajo es conceptualizar el papel de los animadores de los clubes infantiles (que incluyen a los consejeros, los animadores, los organizadores de actividades y los líderes) como educadores de la sostenibilidad. Estos líderes podrían contribuir a la consecución de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible a largo plazo concienciando a las generaciones más jóvenes sobre estos principios. |
