Summary, etc. This article explores the effects of remote working on talent development in a context where companies are promoting “virtual proximity” through the use of information and communication technologies. Drawing on 12 years of intervention-research, the authors identify challenges and present new talent development practices, highlighting six specific needs and the importance of a balance between physical and virtual proximity. In conclusion, the longitudinal analysis of the three cases demonstrates that this hybrid proximity enhances talent development and performance, underlining the particular usefulness of intervention-research in the study of remote working and talent development.
