Summary, etc. | The Eucharist liturgy and dogmatic theology both consistently argue that the aim of the Eucharist is to reach unity and charity within the Ecclesial community since it intimately unites the believer to Christ and to his body: the Church. The Eucharistic communion is its most visible sign. Forever excluding any member of the community is contrary to this traditional vision; Eucharist exclusion can only be temporary, because the Eucharist is necessary to Christian life. By advocating that we support and accompany divorced and remarried persons towards their full reintegration, Amoris Laetitia upholds and implements this conviction. |
