Summary, etc. | Research devoted to the study of business administration is an ever-growing field, but paradoxically there is no universally accepted term to define it. What is the name of our profession, as researchers? The history of the social sciences shows us that the need to assign names corresponds to the emergence of autonomous disciplines that seek to define themselves in relation to others. Starting with the notion of organo-, we study various options for naming our discipline: organology, organi(s)tics, organosophy, or organalysis, inviting researchers in the field to take up the question, so that our own activity can at last be “named”. |
