| Summary, etc. | I was appointed as a member of the European Court of Auditors in 2014, for a six years mandate which was my last professional function, after a thirty years career as a magistrate in the French Court of auditors and in regional chambers. I was aware that my prior experience would be partially helpful for my work in an institution which is comparable as regards its missions and practice, but however unique because European. Even though I had had tight relations with the European Court in Luxembourg during my five years mandate of director of the international relations in Paris, it remained for me to discover the institution from inside and thanks to this position, to better understand Europe |
