520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. In France, as elsewhere, Judicial Funding is at the heart of the reform proposals for a Judicial Governance that better protects Judicial Independence. Comparative analysis shows that many countries have conducted reflections leading them to introduce new governance models, within which the financing systems have also been adapted. Seeking a better balance between political and judicial actors, they are developing greater autonomy in the management of the judiciary, while maintaining political control over its budget. The reforms may have been disappointing in their ability to influence the decisions determining their funding. France should nevertheless draw inspiration from these models, particularly to improve its funding of ordinary courts, and to conduct a more global reflection on the governance of its judiciary.
