| Summary, etc. | This paper aims to preserve the specific nature of the sexual in psychoanalysis in view of some current tendencies that favor listening to the earliest moments of life and conflate the Oedipus complex and neurosis to emphasize only a narcissistic whole. The Oedipus complex differs from productive considerations of thirdness that herald the various oedipal prototypes. In view of the current clinical treatment of borderline states that unfailingly reveal a narcissistic prevalence of object cathexes combined with deficient repression, at various levels, it is the conjunction of two models of psychic functioning (from the imago to the representation) that proves productive, rather than the articulation of the two Freudian paradigms of hysteria and melancholia or the instigation of various aspects of bisexuality in both sexes in the deferred action of the treatment. |
