Summary, etc. Thought processes have the capacity to bring about, as in dreams and sessions, a saturation of consciousness reducing perception to the reality that they produce. This saturaton has the function of limiting experiences of lack. This mechanism is involved in scientific research. It produces truth effect. Every discovery involves a “perceptual mode of thinking” (un “perceptif“) that is created by and necessary to the researcher’s mental functioning. But the search for the equation of truth will never abolish our condition of helplessness.
