Summary, etc. | Starting his development with Odyssey, the author points the fact that Homer uses the term of “nostimon imar” (delicious day of coming back) and not the “algy” (pain) of the “nostos” (coming back, Nostalgy: painful coming back). He notes that the term of Nostalgy, created for medical reasons, is shrinking this one of “nostimon imar”; he considers that the meaning of the Ego’s desire to meet again the “lost object” is like as an “Ego’s lullaby” that starts with the baby’s autoerotism. He studies, after that, the psychical function of body’s pain (algy) not in the nostalgy but in the construction of the “Ego’s cradle” that means the Ego-body. The notion of “at home”, considered as the nostos’ goal, is questioned in the end of the text; the author considers that this “at home” is not spatial and not semiotic (related to mother language and so on), but it is a part of the Ego’s restarting and becoming towards the realizations of his own ideals and of his desires and sublimations. |
