520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This article explores some of the complex intrapsychic relationships of psychoanalysts with their selected private theories, as well as the equally complex expressions and variations of these theories in the psychoanalytic community and literature. They have accompanied the often conflictual formation of groups, schools and technical-conceptual orientations over the decades. More specifically, the article highlights the profound dynamics of “transference onto theories and/or authors”, whose conceptualizations inspire each analyst well beyond his or her conscious, “objective” (or supposedly “objective”) scientific choices. The more or less harmonious integration of “theoretical internal objects” with individual Working Ego and Working Self is an essential developmental task where personal growth and the training of contemporary psychoanalysts is concerned.
