520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Taking care of a child with a disability implies responding to daily challenges, which makes the parents vulnerable in all spheres of their lives. With migration, sources of difficulty multiply, forcing parents to adapt to their new living environment, and, at the same time, to the care of their child. Although support services exist to help parents to lighten the load of their responsibilities, few studies demonstrate how this assistance is useful to migrant families, a growing population in many countries such as Canada. Questioning 28 parents in this situation in semi-structured interviews in Quebec, our aim was to improve the understanding of support-services utilization and to determine the factors leading to use formal support measures. The results of the exploratory thematic analysis suggest that five key elements can explain this use. These results lead us to reflect upon the importance of adapting assistance measures to the expectations and specific needs of migrant families.
