Summary, etc. Historiography has long valued the Quebec question in French policy with regard to the construction of the multilateral Francophonie. However, since independence, the French government has intended to maintain strong links with its former colonies in sub-Saharan Africa. Franco-African cooperation has constituted, for several decades, one of the pillars of France’s foreign policy. And, even if the Quebec question plays an important role in the French policy of the Francophonie, the priority remains with the Franco-African relations. This thus leads us to question the nature of the France–Africa–Francophonie triangle. Is it really equilateral ? Or is it rather a triangle whose France–Africa side is obviously shorter than the France–Francophonie side ?
