Summary, etc. | Abstract The Chinese influence in Central Asia has been constantly increasing throughout the last years. China has taken advantage of the cooling between the United-States and Central Asian regimes, due to the war in Iraq and the “Colour Revolutions”, to form closer relations with these neighbours. It has relaunched political, economic, energy and security bilateral relations with these states. It has also strengthened multilateral relationships by developing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization institutions and activities. |
