Summary, etc. What will be the role of the United States in the Middle East in 2030? Is its position within the region as dominant as it appears? Though the US remains a key player within the diplomatic, strategic, military and energy fields, other powers are seeking to invest in an important region on the international scene. China and Russia are looking to strike big, be it on the diplomatic, the military or the commercial front. If, however, these countries are able to benefit from a diminishing American influence, are they likely to succeed in its place? The conditions for restructuring the region have not yet become ripe for a head-on collision between great powers, and United States’ persistence in maintaining their influence throughout the next decades is highly anticipated.
