Summary, etc. | Ecology is a field in which facts (supposedly the exclusive domain of scientists) and values (the political domain of social organization) often struggle to come together. However, if we decompartmentalize the multiple textual facets of Gaia, as Bruno Latour encourages us to do (by considering the wide stylistic and generic range in which it resoundingly reappears, in order to bring them together, from myth to the writing of the Earth sciences and the human and social sciences), a range emerges, plastic and agonistic, polysemous and actantial, a new theater of the world with an unstable axiology that is perhaps one of the literary forms of a public debate on the world that is emerging. |
