| Summary, etc. | Throughout its history, the French Institute for Group Analysis and Psychodrama (IFAGP) has seen its training concept evolve towards an original combination of group analysis and psychodrama. People wishing to train are invited to take part in successive groups in which they are introduced to and practise a variety of techniques which they must make their own by working on themselves. The conditions under which this can be done are examined, and a number of Ferenczian and Bionian-inspired theoretical considerations are put forward. Mention is also made of the contribution made by the theory of Mediation developed in Rennes by Jean Gagnepain, in particular the inclusion of psychodramatic play among expressive mediations. The societal context and its transformations are also developed, taking into account the new individualistic expectations and their translation into training policies. |
