Summary, etc. The literature on the service sector underlines the existence of a plurality of stakeholders and a multiplicity of goals as typical features among other qualifying characteristics of social enterprises. This paper deals with these topics with reference to the reality of 15 Belgian work integration social enterprises (WISE). First, the presence of various categories of stakeholders is verified. Results show the prevalence of representatives of service sector organizations and of a significant amount of permanent staff delegates and business representatives. The multiplicity of goals is then analyzed by verifying the hypothesis of three main categories of objectives within work integration social enterprises: occupational and social integration, the production of goods and services, and advocacy and lobbying. The data show that the first two goals are equally important to the organizational mission. Finally the relationship between the two goals is investigated.
