520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Caught in a stranglehold between budgetary restrictions on the one hand, that is to say the decrease of resources, and the intensification of work and the increasing complexity of caring situations on the other, nursing staff increasingly experience stress in the daily practice of their profession. This environment certainly still has a strong general tendency to focus on profitability and cost cutting, but it seems nevertheless possible, according to Demerouti, to act positively when it comes to the resources of individuals. The development and the valuation of these internal and external resources would then allow for better adaptation and greater resistance to the requirements of the profession.
