Summary, etc. What creative opportunities exist for designers who wish to engage in bio-fabrication processes? Whether it is the focus on technical operations or the discovery of the fantasies that surround bio-artefacts, this article invites designers to take a critical look at bio-artefacts produced in technoscientific laboratories. We study how design can bring about a discovery process, leading to the authentication of techniques. Our hypothesis is that design, by looking at technical aspects in a new way, can develop new forms of bio-artefacts where the living being will not be reduced to a functional brick, an optimum, or a model made to be copied.
