Summary, etc. The aim of the partnership is the establishment and operation of a center open 24 hours a day to receive and treat adults and underage victims of sexual assault and physical abuse in the greater Besançon area. The center also provides the victims and their families with adapted forensic and psychotherapeutic assistance. The mechanisms needed to carry out the project will be set out in a contract between two hospitals and include the resources of both institutions. The center will fit into the existing network of partners already operational in Besançon. The role of the University of Besançon and its Medical School will be to promote research in the field of physical abuse, its causes and effects, and to train future physicians who will later be in charge of handling these types of cases in the course of their careers.
