| Summary, etc. | For several years now in France, nursing homes (EPHADs) have been undergoing a major societal upheaval. Today, staff turnover is outpacing the attractiveness of careers in older-adult care. Against this backdrop, giving meaning to this vital work and its missions appears crucial. The role of local manager lies at the crossroads of health and medical-social care and must successfully achieve two objectives: support and coordination. Being a nurse coordinator means adopting an interprofessional and multidimensional outlook, balancing directive and collaborative management approaches. Onboarding seems to be an essential tool in the quality of working life. For the purpose of this article, we focused on developing a Nurse Coordinator Occupational Fulfillment Score as an indicator of mental health. The sense of fulfillment and well-being fostered by the successful management of workplace problems translates into improved support for teams and, by extension, nursing home residents—whose welfare must remain the ultimate and universal objective. |
