Summary, etc. Eight years after the opening of the specialized foster care center (CAFS), this article aims at formalizing the therapeutic effects of this kind of care on children with behavior disorders aged 3 to 12. When family interactions make separation necessary, specialized foster care represents an interesting alternative to classical care centers for children of this age. We’ll see how this multidisciplinary care system corresponds to the specific problems of these children. Through clinical examples, we’ll see what the stakes of specialized foster care are for the different actors of the system and the types of relational dynamics that develop between them.
