520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. In a context of claims made by people with disabilities concerning their sexual rights, the French State was led to take a position in 2011 concerning the issue of sexual support (practice also referred to as: sexual assistance). The debates within the political authorities, as well as in the media, are still today largely permeated with moral judgments, without the lesser frequency of socio-sexual relations being explained. It remains simply noted, objectified and deplored. This article proposes to deepen the terms of the debate by questioning not the issue of sexual needs or the humanization of disabled people, but by analyzing the reasons for this difference in the frequency of socio-sexual relationships. Is there a social causality (or causalities) or can this phenomenon be explained only by bodily differences?
