| Summary, etc. | RésuméLa désintégration brutale du CAEM et la signature des Accords européens au début des années quatre-vingt-dix ont conduit les PECO à réorienter massivement leur commerce vers l’Union européenne (UE), suscitant ainsi des inquiétudes sur leur capacité à réorganiser un commerce régional dynamique. Qu’en était-il à la veille de l’adhésion de ces pays à l’UE ? Cet article porte sur l’évolution du commerce intra-PECO de 1993 à 2001 et utilise des données désagrégées. Les résultats montrent que depuis le milieu des années quatre-vingt-dix, les échanges se structurent autour de trois sous-bassins, selon une logique de segmentation du processus de production au sein même des PECO.Classification JEL : F12 ; F14 ; F15. |

| Summary, etc. | The sudden disintegration of the COMECON and the signature of the European Agreements in the early 1990s led the CEECs to reorient their trade towards the EU, raising doubts about their ability to reorganize dynamic regional trade. How did this trade eventually evolve during the last decade ? This article analyses the evolution of intra CEEC trade using disagregated data from 1993 to 2001. Results show that since the mid 1990s, three sub-regions have been emerging, as a consequence of an accrued division of the production process within the CEECs.
