| Summary, etc. | L’objet de cet article est d’apprécier l’évolution de la localisation des productions agricoles dans l’Union européenne et de déterminer si les coûts de production agricoles et la localisation des bassins de production par rapport à celle des consommateurs européens sont déterminants de la concentration géographique de l’agriculture. L’analyse empirique tend à montrer que la production agricole se concentre géographiquement dans les bassins de production les mieux situés en termes d’accès au marché communautaire. |

The aim of this article is to analyse the evolution of farming locations in the European Union and to discover whether European consumers affect agricultural production costs and the location of farming basins enough to determine the geographical concentration of agriculture. Empirical analysis tends to show that farms are concentrated in geographical basins with the best access to the Community market. |
