| Summary, etc. | Malgré leur centralité et leurs impacts sociaux, les transformations technologiques sont couramment étudiées de manière parcellaire. En conséquence, le lien entre domination capitaliste, croissance économique, destruction écologique et développement technologique est obscurci. Cet article approfondit les racines historiques du paradigme de la neutralité de la technique, responsable de cette insuffisance théorique. Il propose une ontologie sociohistorique de l’objet technique et du monde industriel, à même de constituer un paradigme alternatif reconnaissant la non-neutralité comme un attribut crucial pour la compréhension des techniques et des technologies, et leur transformation. |

| Summary, etc. | Despite their centrality and their social impacts, technological transformations are commonly studied in a fragmented way. As a consequence, the link between capitalist domination, economic growth, ecological destruction and technological development is clouded. This article deals with the historical roots of the paradigm of the neutrality of technics, responsible for this theoretical deficiency. It proposes a sociohistorical ontology of the technical object and of the industrial world able to constitute an alternative paradigm recognizing the non-neutrality as a social attribute for the understanding of the technics and technologies, and for their transformation. |
