| Summary, etc. | L’article revient sur la critique que Hans Jonas, dans Le principe responsabilité, avait faite de la philosophie utopique d’Ernst Bloch, et propose une troisième voie par rapport à cette polémique grâce à la pensée de Theodor W. Adorno. La discussion entre Adorno et Bloch au sujet de l’utopie négative du premier et de l’utopie positive du second permet de construire un cadre d’interprétation pertinent pour les perspectives utopiques des mouvements écologiques contemporains. L’impossibilité de préfigurer la société parfaite à venir et la nécessité de croire dans les tentatives fragiles du présent deviennent complémentaires dans la commune exigence de rompre avec la domination de la nature qui caractérise nos sociétés et notre histoire. |

| Summary, etc. | This article aims to discuss Hans Jonas’ critique of Ernst Bloch’s utopian thought in The Imperative of Responsibility, and it tries to propose an alternative path with Theodor W. Adorno. The tension between Adorno’s negative utopia and Bloch’s positive utopia leads to an original scheme to interpret the utopian perspectives of the ecological movements and issues today. The impossibility of foreseeing any perfect society in the future and the necessity to believe in the present fragile attempts become two faces of a common goal: the requirement to break with the domination on nature that characterizes our societies and our history. |
