| Summary, etc. | Cet article présente et cherche à interpréter les principales évolutions des structures agraires et des productions des PECO10 depuis le début des années 2000 et particulièrement depuis leur intégration dans la Politique agricole commune (PAC). Il souligne que globalement l’élargissement n’a pas bouleversé les équilibres antérieurs et que les craintes d’un choc déstabilisant pour des sociétés où l’agriculture occupe encore une part importante de la main-d’œuvre n’étaient pas réellement fondées. La dynamique de restructuration est à l’œuvre, renforcée par une PAC qui attribue les aides en fonction de la taille et du capital des exploitations et qui soutient peu l’emploi agricole. Mais le développement des exploitations moyennes dans certains Etats montre une dynamique d’intensification des exploitations familiales qui permettra peut-être, à terme, d’atténuer les conséquences du dualisme agraire. |

| Summary, etc. | This paper presents and seeks to interpret the main trends in the agrarian and production structures the 10 Central and Eastern European Countries (CEE) since the early 2000s and especially since their integration in the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). It shows that overall the expansion to the CEE did not drastically change the pre-existing balance and that the concerns about a possible destabilization of societies where agriculture still represents an important part of the workforce were not really justified. True, the restructuring process is under way, driven in particular by the CAP where aid is farm size- and not employment-oriented. But the strength of small structures and the development of medium-sized farms in some countries also testify that a process of intensification of family farms is taking place, that will eventually mitigate the consequences of agrarian dualism |
