| Summary, etc. | RésuméAlors que la géographie du genre et de la sexualité est en cours de structuration en France, cet article propose quelques pistes de réflexions épistémologiques et méthodologiques, nées d’un dialogue pluridisciplinaire. La sexualité est une nouvelle voie pour questionner la géographie sociale et culturelle. Cet article critique le mythe de la libération gay, souvent déduite de la simple cartographie des quartiers gays urbains, de la scène commerciale ou des lieux de sexualité. L’auteur propose de porter l’attention sur les questions de distance, à toutes les échelles, afin de mieux comprendre à la fois la question gay et le poids des normes sociales. |

It’s focus on epistemology and methodology in a context of pluridisciplinarity. The author indicates that sexuality has become a new area of interest within social and cultural geography. The article criticises the myth of gay liberation and suggests that we need to move away from simply mapping the urban gay village, commercial scene and sexual space. The author proposes a new focus on distance as a way to question normativity. |
