| Summary, etc. | RésuméEn 1969, le Congrès des géographes allemands de Kiel a été le théâtre d’une remise en cause profonde et spectaculaire de la discipline telle qu’elle s’était construite dans les universités germaniques à partir du milieu du xixe siècle, notamment autour du concept de Landschaft. Ce tournant épistémologique a également été un moment clé à partir duquel une histoire critique du « siècle d’or de la géographie allemande » (1871-1969) s’est développée, concernant d’abord la construction des concepts et des discours, puis l’inscription des spécialistes dans une histoire tourmentée (IIIe Reich, Guerre Froide, période coloniale), enfin la réalité d’une « école allemande de géographie » en définitive très diverse et éclatée. |

| Summary, etc. | Revisiting German academic geographyIn 1969 the German geographical conference in Kiel was the scene of profound, spectacular questioning of the discipline as it had been constructed in the German universities since the mid 19th century, in particular around the notion of Landschaft. This epistemological turning-point was also a key moment from which a critical history of “the golden century of German geography” (1871-1969) developed, focusing first on the construction of concepts and discourse, then on the positioning of specialists within a turbulent history (Third Reich, Cold War, colonial period), and recently on the reality of “a so-called German school of geography”, which ultimately appears as very diverse and fragmented. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungIm Jahre 1969 wurde die deutsche Hochschulgeographie, die sich seit dem 19. Jahrhundert in den deutschsprachigen Universitäten entwickelt hatte, insbesondere mit dem Kernbegriff „Landschaft“, im Rahmen des Kieler Geographentags gründlich in Frage gestellt. Diese epistemologische Wende hat auch zur Folge gehabt, dass eine kritische Geschichte des „goldenen Jahrhunderts der deutschen Geographie“ (1871-1969) neue Richtungen gefolgt hat: sie untersuchte zuerst die Gründung der geographischen Ideen und Diskurse, dann die Verhältnisse zwischen den Hochschulgeographen und den politischen Regimen dieses Zeitalters (Kolonialreich, Dritten Reich, DDR), schliesslich die letzten Endes sehr komplexe Struktur der sogenannten „deutschen Schule der Geographie“. |
