| Summary, etc. | Le présent article se propose d’étudier, à travers certaines pièces brèves du théâtre futuriste ( sintesi), la manière dont ce dernier a influencé les mouvements de modernisation du théâtre d’avant-garde. Un rôle central revient à la technique et aux médias modernes qui deviennent des acteurs principaux de la scène. Un jeu imposant et agressif ainsi que les nouveaux éclairages électriques en occupent le centre. La lumière, jusqu’alors élément du décor scénique, resplendit aussi dans les discours futuristes de manière métaphorique et tient lieu d’illumination et de symbole du renouvellement soudain et violent revendiqué par les futuristes.Cette approche ne se limite pas à lire les pièces de théâtre en question à partir des manifestes futuristes, mais aussi à la lumière d’une tradition – bien que cette dernière soit rejetée avec insistance par le discours futuriste. Un déni qui démontre que l’art – dramatique – futuriste participe du mouvement de renouvellement européen à partir du moment où il représente davantage que le simple aboutissement des manifestes. |

| Summary, etc. | I would like to show, on the basis of the example of some futuristic theater pieces (sintesi), to what degree the futuristic theater has contributed to the modernisation experiments of the historical Avantgarde. Technical means and the modern media as major actors on the stage play an important role in this process. Shrill and aggressive games with the newly developed electric light are in the center of these experiments. The actual light on the stage is accompanied in the futuristic discourses by a metaphorical rhetoric, suggesting illumination and the violent and speedy transformation so dear to the futurists.This essay attempts to read the theater pieces not only in view of the futurist manifests, but also in relation to older traditions, even if the futurists insistently want to denie such relations. It is thus possible to show that the futurist theater participates most interestingly in a wider European context of modernism where it is more than just the realization of its manifests. |
