| Summary, etc. | One hundred years after the birth of two great poets from Czernowitz, Immanuel Weissglas and Paul Celan–both fellow students and friends in their youth–it is appropriate to look back at the first published volume of poetry by each and to question the oblivion into which these works have fallen: Immanuel Weissglas’ Kariera am Bug, published in Bucharest in 1947, and Paul Celan’s Der Sand aus den Urnen (The Sand from the Urns), published in Vienna in 1948, immediately discontinued and never published since, except as part of the complete works. The essay presents these two collections of poems and mentions at the end the international discussion on Weissglas’ poem “Er” (“He”). |

| Summary, etc. | Hundert Jahre nach der Geburt von zwei großen Dichtern aus Czernowitz, Immanuel Weissglas und Paul Celan – beide waren Kommilitonen und in ihrer Jugend Freunde – ist es angebracht, auf den jeweils ersten veröffentlichten Gedichtband der beiden zurückzublicken und die Vergessenheit zu hinterfragen, in die diese Werke geraten sind: Immanuel Weissglas‘ Kariera am Bug, 1947 in Bukarest veröffentlicht, und Paul Celans Der Sand aus den Urnen, 1948 in Wien veröffentlicht, sofort wieder eingestellt und seitdem nie wieder publiziert, außer als Teil des Gesamtwerks. Der Aufsatz stellt diese beiden Gedichtsammlungen vor und erwähnt zum Schluss die internationale Diskussion zum Gedicht „Er“ von Weissglas. |
