| Summary, etc. | RésuméDans un contexte de grands changements psychosociaux, l’adolescence est une période déterminante pour le développement de la créativité. Réciproquement, la créativité pourrait être une composante centrale de la « transformation de soi » à l’adolescence car elle favorise les processus de la pensée impliqués dans la formation identitaire, permet de développer et maintenir une représentation positive et créative de soi, et facilite l’expression de soi sur des supports d’intérêts dans lesquels l’adolescent s’est engagé. Cet article présente un examen des travaux existants sur le développement de la créativité à l’adolescence et sur son rôle dans le développement de soi, ouvrant sur des implications pratiques en termes de promotion des activités créatives, particulièrement importantes durant cette période de la vie. |

| Summary, etc. | Adolescence, Creativity, and Self-TransformationAs a time of intense psychosocial change, adolescence is a critical period for creativity development. Alternatively, creativity may be a central component of “self-transformation” in adolescence, as it promotes the thinking processes involved in identity formation, supports the development and maintenance of a positive and creative self-concept, and facilitates self-expression within the creative domains to which the adolescent is committed. This article presents a review of the literature on the development of creativity in adolescence and creativity’s role in the development of self, leading to practical implications for promoting creative activities that are particularly important during this period of life. |
