L’image peut-elle être, alors, un support au travail de symbolisation de l’expérience traumatique ? À partir de deux situations cliniques, cet article interroge les figures, effets et destins de l’image dans la traversée du traumatisme psychique par le sujet. Nous constaterons qu’en utilisant l’image dans le témoignage et la photographie, le sujet parvient progressivement à la mettre à distance, et à partager ses éprouvés. |

Can the image, then, support the symbolization of the traumatic experience? Based on two clinical situations, this article questions the figures, effects, and fates of the image in the subject’s journey through psychic trauma. We will observe that by using the image in testimony and photography, the subject is progressively able to distance himself or herself from it and share his or her experiences. |
