| Summary, etc. | La dimension praxéologique de la responsabilité sociétale de l’entreprise (RSE) est un thème de recherche qui interroge la communauté scientifique depuis plus de vingt ans. À la lumière du concept de RSE, la pratique de l’essaimage apparait comme originale, car communément associée aux plans de restructurations. Au travers de l’étude de cas d’une entreprise industrielle du CAC 40, nous tenterons de comprendre comment la pratique de l’essaimage et les créations d’entreprises qu’elle implique participe au développement du capital humain et au développement local des territoires. Pour ce faire, nous proposons un modèle théorique des pratiques d’essaimage comme porteuses de RSE. Nous testons ce modèle sur des critères de légitimité et de facteurs de motivations, de prise en compte des attentes des salariés et des communautés, et de l’efficacité des pratiques. Nous procédons selon un couplage méthodologique quantitatif et qualitatif (Thiétart, 2007), à la fois auprès d’experts de l’essaimage, et d’anciens salariés de l’entreprise industrielle ayant entrepris une création d’entreprise. Finalement, notre étude montre qu’il est globalement pertinent d’appréhender l’essaimage sous l’angle de la RSE, mais qu’une partie des effets observés relèvent plus de conséquences positives, que d’une réelle volonté de l’entreprise, du moins dans le cas étudié. |

| Summary, etc. | Praxeological dimension of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a research field that questions the scientific community for over twenty years. In light of the concept of CSR, spin-offs practice appears to be original, because commonly associated with restructuring plans. Through the case study of an industrial CAC 40 company, we try to understand how spin-offs practice and established companies it involves, participate in the development of human capital and local development of territories. To do this, we propose a theoretical model of spin-off as CSR practices. We test this model on criteria of legitimacy and factors of motivation, taking into account the expectations of employees and communities, and effective practice. We use a mixed methodology (Thiétart, 2007), both from experts swarming and former employees of the industrial company who have undertaken an entrepreneurship project. Finally, our study shows that it is generally appropriate to understand the spin-off in terms of CSR, but some of the observed effects are more explained by positive consequences than a real commitment to the company, at least in this case. |
